Beware! Avoid these Staging Strategies!
Home staging should show off the great features of your home and not create a phony atmosphere. Avoid the following when trying to sell:
- Napkins stuffed in wine glasses (Creates a phony atmosphere.)
- Old bath towels hanging on a bar with ribbon (Old towels will not give a buyer the spa feeling, even with a ribbon - buy fresh new ones!)
- Furniture store tags on items that are for sale (Instead, type a list of personal items that are for sale and place the list on the kitchen table.)
- Old, worn rugs (Remove throw rugs. Buyers need to see the floors and what they are buying.)
- Dusty, plastic trees with only a few branches (Some foliage is fine, but make sure it is clean!)

Has the Market Stabilized?
These days I'm being asked, "Has the real estate market stabilized?" In general, the home prices in the Harrisburg/Hershey area have only decreased by about 5% over the past two years according the the Central Penn Multi-List Statistics. For market conditions in your neighborhood go to EastandWestShoreHomeValues.com for current market trends.
